Installed Colorful Tabs plugin for Firefox and now feel like a little girl enjoying pink, green and purple tabs!

vsizikov Nice performance boost for JRuby's Time methods (soon to be integrated): http://pastie.org/225760
vsizikov QotD: "the only way to measure the [code] usefulness is by the amount of money that the people are willing to part with". CRAZY! :)
vsizikov Tried the just-released Eclipse IDE 3.4. A bit disappointed, since there is nothing really new for pure Java development there.
vsizikov JRuby trunk has been upgraded with rubygems 1.2, and so far the results are outstanding! Much faster, memory efficient (40Mb vs 600Mb!!!)
vsizikov @john_lam Some Process methods even documented to return 0 on Windows (#ppid). See http://tinyurl.com/63965f .
vsizikov New blog entry on clonning Ruby svn repo to git: http://tinyurl.com/65jlbe
vsizikov Finally, managed to create a *FULL* git clone of Ruby's svn repo: http://github.com/vvs/ruby-...
vsizikov Finally got my Firefox 3. It looks and feels pretty nice, speedy. Most of the extensions work too. FF3 is WAY better than IE on my PC.
vsizikov So much for the Firefox 3 download day record... Http/1.1 Service Unavailable
vsizikov Silly, but fun benchmark for JRuby's (with micro-optz) #upto, #downto and #times, compared to Ruby 1.8.6: http://pastie.org/215911
vsizikov Heh, one of the Ruby 1.8.6 patchlevel updates is about 3500 lines long, with completely rewritten strtod function (backported from 1.9).
vsizikov Finally, with today's commit JRuby passes all StringIO specs: 300 examples, 592 expectations, 0 failures, 0 errors
vsizikov Overclocked CPU from 2.6Ghz to 3.6Ghz. Still amazes me that I had to do that so that Vista could be a bit snappier.
vsizikov @timbray If only that was the biggest incompatibility in 1.9. Currently, Ruby 1.9 fails about 1010 tests from rubyspec 1.8 suite.
vsizikov Great screencast on Git: http://tinyurl.com/5vksfy It was presented during the last RailsConf 2008.
vsizikov All right, the latest JRuby runs Rails 2.1 with jdbcmysql driver just fine, just checking...
vsizikov @nicksieger How did you do that? :) The size of a full JRuby git repository is bigger than allowed GitHub limit for me...
vsizikov Slashdot today: "Does Antimatter Fall Up Or Down?". For some reason, I really want to know that! :)
vsizikov Ah, great! An official bug tracker (redmine) for Ruby: http://redmine.ruby-lang.or...
