tommorris

Just booked my ticket for RailsCamp London. It looks like it's going to be cool!

tommorris While showering, had a great idea on an as-yet-unannounced standards project I'm thinking about. Tempted to write it up.
tommorris Is @emmapersky at OpenTech tommorow? Or is someone I know who will see Emma before I do going to be there? DM me or find me IRL.
tommorris It has gotten to the point where I now take painkillers with me to conferences, just in case.
tommorris I must say, it is particularly great that OpenTech is in the same street as my university library. Listen to nerds, and borrow books.
tommorris @oxfordben: LOD, FOAF, URIs and XKCD. All good. And I won't be drunken key signing, I hope.
tommorris @improbulus: I'll sign your keys if you tell me your real name. ;)
tommorris @oxfordben: Actually, it'll be on Linked Data. Tried to get title changed, but too late. (OpenTech needs wiki!)
tommorris @factoryjoe: have you seen Hil's failwhale sculpture? http://urlb.at/5a3
tommorris Wondering if RailsCamp people would mind having a Ruby-not-Rails dork who arses around with untrendy things like RDF and XML attending.
tommorris Thinking about going to RailsCamp UK - it's close to where I live, and could be really good fun.
tommorris "This is not an Islamic country, it's a Christian country! OMG!". Almost correct - it's a SECULAR country. Deal with it.
tommorris Just found the perfect image to represent Semantic Web evangelists: dogs on surfboards.
tommorris Just finished putting my slides together for tomorrow. Session 2, Main Room at OpenTech, I'll be talking about Linked Data.
tommorris Gah, the YouTube flash player still sucks.
tommorris Just noticed my blog post about CWL is on molly.com. Thanks @mollydotcom!
tommorris If librarians can't produce rock-solid metadata, either our metadata frameworks are too brittle, or we should REALLY start worrying. ;)
tommorris Disliking publishers and libraries who put non-title data in title fields like publisher and format. Title should not contain "(paperback)".
tommorris Trying to find a workable solution to the bibliography problem. Hoping the hCite/bibonto stuff will work seamlessly with BibTeX.
tommorris Found the most ambitious and insane W3C project EVAH. It's Esperanto for the Internet age. Seriously. I kid you not. http://urlb.at/59o
