Watched the F1 qualifying. Now onto Dr Who — the Androids of Tara. (Beth vetoed my first choice of Horror of Fang Rock as too scary.)

@shriansh Power supply from http://tinyurl.com/5c3spl
@jas88 Got mine from http://tinyurl.com/5c3spl
Kate turned on the water feature. The RCD tripped. So she removed the RCD and plugged it straight in. The house RCD tripped. Inevitably.
Day off today. Have a medical for new insurance policy this p.m. and thought I’d take the whole day off and take it easy.
Kate’s PowerBook 12" has just died. No display, no power light, no DVI video output. Still boots and can get in with SSH though.
Bought myself a cheapo £25 power supply for my MacBook Pro. Ugly, but it works. And it isn’t charred, like my Apple one.
Using Google Chrome for my browsing today. Feels ok.
NHS car park charges scrapped, but not Ninewells. http://tinyurl.com/69gzqj
Found my keys this morning. Lost them over a month ago. Third time I searched the car, I found them down the side of the passenger seat.
Fry on GNU: http://www.gnu.org/fry/
Wondering whether New Tricks is the best thing on TV at the moment. I think it may be.
Tried to buy an iPhone 3G in Glasgow today, but the Apple Store didn’t do upgrades, and the O2 shop didn’t have any white ones. Phooey.
Netgear router apparently runs a proxy called reaim, which blocks port 5190 when NAT is disabled. Very annoying.
@Sharikkamur As head of CS, don’t you have researchers to delegate these tasks to?
@qidane So you've had a busy day, then.
@the_magician Not sure of all the details. Is it ok if I pass your email address on to the project manager here?
Does anyone know a technical writer who could do a review of the documentation and source code comments for a project? Maybe two weeks work.
Getting my network working without NAT. Netgear router’s firewall is a bit grim for incoming traffic to multiple real IPs.
Lunch at Dundee Debenhams café today. Card-holder’s voucher to spend.
