Turning 40 in 10...9...8...
Sitting outside in the beautiful weather.
Making money move around. Hopefully more will move in our direction than away.
My brain just went on a 1.5 hour online shopping vacation. It was totally not worth the $30 I saved. Doh.
Man, Sketching folks make big presentations. Little checks in under 8M, and many top 30. High resolution is the new rounded corner.
Found an authentic first dotcom-era Aeron on the street. Ah, San Francisco.
Morning of calls over, now time for lunch and an afternoon of meetings. Woo!
Nerdy insight: "grep -ril" gives me most of the benefits of "find . -exec grep" without the tortured syntax. Command-line utils DO change!
@peterme Woohoo!
Back from Burning Man (which was mellow, but--like pizza--great) and not yet looking at what happened while I was gone, but soon will be.
Nice reactive light made of BlinkMs: http://designedobjects.blog...
Our Burning Man bikes have been made BM-worthy (i.e. totally craptastic, but vaguely functional). Just in case, I'm bringing a backup bike.
Another beautiful morning in Pasadena. Now, of course, it's time to leave for SF: a day of Burning Man prep awaits!
Using my laptop as the world's biggest cell phone Thank you iChat audio chat, now my hard drive has warmed my head.
Wiki markup is the hardest to learn "easy to learn" syntax, ever.
Flickr uploadr will not finish before I have to leave for the airport. Grrr. I don't think I've ever had an uploadr session go smoothly.
OK, brain now mostly shutdown after wedding weekend (photos on flickr) and bowl of tofu soup. Off to LA tomorrow, so time to get some sleep.
Our plan for staying overnight at our roommates' wedding was derailed by the temptation of sleeping in our own bed. Now back to the wedding!
Another crazy day. Happy (there is a child and wedding supply tornado in the house while I frantically do client work), but crazy.
