Listening to boagworld in bed.
Someone make sure I get a high powered daylight bulb tomorrow or I'm going to be in a world of trouble. I'm serious!
Anyone got a developer wiki system of preference? Ideally php based (Python and Ruby run doggedly slow on my box) and supports images.
@timhastings Oh good man! I may have a use for that!
@galooph I find they're a little long for that. 50 mins is overkill for a podcast.
The answer BTW is yes. The Atom has the same instruction set as the Core.
Right. Twitterverse: Intel Atom - contains Pentium III instruction set? Yes/No/Cancel
Humm, SQL 2k8 Express with Tools - failed to install Tools. Nice. Well done MS, pat yourself on the back for *that* one.
@Ben_Hall That's no different really to any e-mail enabled smartphone though...
Place your bets that 2k8 falls over in the same way 2k5 did...
@catashton I'll take a steak and kidney pudding in a bun with gravy. Hold chips, throat hurts.
Windows SQL28k - Installer 4.5 (sep download), Powershell (sep download), .NET Framework 3.5 (sep download). Why can't it chain?
Dear MS - other OSs have got the hang of chaining dependancies - why can't you?
Christ almighty - VS 08 SP1 takes *forever* to install...
Before I get bitten in the ass *again*, will the Intel Atom support SQL Server 2k5 & 2k8 Express?
The second EPIA may become an ATOM instead. Only £54 for mobo + proc in mini-ITX. Add some RAM and we're laughing again.
Also combine this with the fact that the web server is running Web Edition and not Standard and you can see the problem ;-)
Note, you can't install SQL Server 2k5 Express on a VIA C3. You can install SQL Server 2k5, but not Express. FUCK.
@LizzyCampbell Better than my trick of being "fashionably late".
Finishing off configuration of new Server 2k3 and installing VS08 SP1. Hadn't noticed I was still using the BETA.
