Last post on this topic: I have been in manufacturing for the last decade, and every union I've worked with has been a barrier to progress.
@Wading4U Wouldn't that be cool be be paid to Tweet? lol
Reading the book "How to Innovate Like Edison" and I realize the only thing I have going for me is Power Napping.
I also know a GM worker who said it was routine for the workers to sabotage improvement efforts to keep the status quo.
GM has something like 12,000 people in their "job bank" . . . people getting paid NOT to work.
If GM fails, how much is to blame on Management, and how much on the workers Union? Just askin'
@Wading4U i.e., over consumption, over-reliance on credit, inflated housing proces, loss of manufacturing, etc.
@Wading4U Yes, this is a correction. But its is a correction of many things that have been masked for a LONG time.
@Wading4U I happen to believe in the Shock Doctrine, i.e., the gavernments intentionally ignore large problems so that they can "fix" them.
I just looked at the Dow for today. OUCH! Feeling sorry for a lot of people who are close to retirement.
