Last night we paired a 1996 Sorrel Hermitage with spice marinated bison strip steaks topped with a shallot, herb, blue cheese butter.
Last night we had a bottle of 2004 Justin Isoscles with our Mongolian spiced veal rib chops. Yummy!
With our grilled salmon with lemon shallot sauce, we are having 2004 Casa Martelletti Arneis from Roero.
Last night we drank a bottle of 1999 Clerc-Milon which was superb. Notes of venison and bacon with dark cherries and anise. Nice!
Last night we had a 2004 Shafer Relentless which is 80-20 Syrah-Petite Sirah blend. NW fruit bomb monster with a touch of heat - VG
Thursday evening in Geneva, Switzerland had a 2002 Cahors that was quite nice and a 2001 Pontet Canet that rocked - smooth as silk.
So, what, I get another wristband (that I already have BTW, and already sent in photo, too!)? I'm not impressed yet. ;-)
After digging my way to the grill thru 18" of snow, grilled flank steak w/shrooms. 2002 Delille Chaleur Estate ROCKS big time!!
We're dining at home - Sockeye salmon on the grill.
We also had 2004 Garretson Roussane "Tiarna" which was outstanding. Last night we had the Pasodoble red blend from Argentina - lovely.
So this week in wine we had a simple, red Bordeaux from 2005 that was amazing! Also had a 2003 Medoc that was OK, but a bit tannic.
